Sara Krstevska and Lazar Nikolov - Macedonian Ecological Society (MES)

What typer of fires out there exist and what impact do they have on biodiversity? How much will the proper management of forests and meadows help in reducing their intensity? How can we help nature?

About the presenters:

Sara Krstevska - Graduated engineer in biology, biochemistry and physiology. At MES, she volunteers from 2018 to 2021 on many projects that cover protection of different groups of organisms and habitats, and in 2021 she officially becomes part of the team. She works at the Department of Protected Areas and Restoration of Forest Areas.

Lazar Nikolov - Graduated ecologist who has been working at MЕS since 2022 on the GIS Analytics and Database Management Program and the Plant and Ecosystem Protection Program. His areas of interest are landscape ecology, ecosystem research of terrestrial ecosystems, and protection and conservation of wetland habitats.
