Film Workshop - "Mountain Creative Documentary"

The registered participants should come with pre-recorded material, which will be further refined with the mentors, and together with their mentorship they will create a short creative documentary.

The video material should be related in some way to a topic in the field of ecology and nature, mountain sports, etc.
The expected duration of the workshop is four days (or by agreement two days with a tighter schedule) and will be held during the Festival (October 18-25), with a preliminary selection of participants, consultation for ideas, filming and editing of the film.

About the mentors:

Kiril Karakash and Svetislav Podleshanov are the founders of the film production OPIUM Film based in Skopje. They have been involved in film since they were 12 years old by making their first short films. Kiril and Svetislav are graduated film and TV directors, and they specialized in film production at ESRA.

For the past seven years, they jointly organize and work at various film workshops as mentors for creative, experimental, documentary and feature films with high school and elementary school students from all over Macedonia.

In 2022, they've created the nomadic residence "Center for Interdisciplinary Activities". This residency allows young authors to develop in the field of creative documentary film through unique workshops in mountain locations, where nature and art come together to create inspiring film works.
In the last six years, they have been producing and developing through European workshops and festivals the feature-length documentary with the working title "Iron Man", financially supported by the Film Agency.
In 2018 Opium Film produced the short documentary "The Water", and in 2016 the feature film "Deification". In 2021, it is co-producing the Ukrainian feature film "The Feast of Chrysanthemums", in which certain scenes were filmed at the "Memorial Ossuary" in Veles and "Makedonium" in Krushevo...
