In June 1986, Patrick Gabarrou and Hervé Bouvard opened the Walker Directissime in the Grandes Jorasses north face. A masterpiece of difficulty in a 1200m big wall. 
Nobody tried it since 27 years. 
In February 2023, three French mountaineers try to free climb it and to make the first winter ascent of this route.
