Akihiro Oishi and Hiroki Suzuki are regular Japanese workers who are determined to conquer the challenging North buttress of Alaska's Mount Hunter, North America's most difficult 14,000-foot mountain. They have been climbing partners since Kei Taniguchi died at 43 in 2015. Kei was the first and only female climber in the world to receive the highly regarded Piolet d'Or mountaineering award. She was Akihiro's mentor and Hiroki's climbing partner.
This film explores Kei's legacy and why the two men embarked on the challenge to climb Mt. Hunter.
